We don't believe design is about making things look nice. We believe it's about making things mean something.

FORMA was founded in Porto in 2019 by a small group of designers and film-makers who were tired of work that was technically competent and spiritually empty. We wanted to build a studio that treated visual culture as a serious practice, one that could hold its own against art, against architecture, against film.

We work with a tight roster of clients at a time. Not because we can't take more, but because good work requires real investment. We know your category, your competitors, and your audience before we sketch a single letterform.

Our clients range from early-stage startups who need an identity that punches above their age, to established brands who need to rediscover what made them interesting. We've shipped more than 40 projects across sport, culture, technology, luxury, and architecture, and we bring that breadth to every brief.
